Big Scarr

Alexander Woods, professionally known as Big Scarr, was an American rapper and songwriter born in Memphis, Tennessee. Emerging from the underground Memphis drill scene, he cultivated a style characterized by a dark, melodic delivery bridging Southern hip-hop with aggressive drill production. Scarr gained significant attention with his breakout mixtape, *Big Morron* (2020), leading to a major label signing with Gucci Mane’s 1017 Records. Celebrated for his unfiltered storytelling, he released the album *A Gangster and a Gentleman* (2021) and the charting EP *S.Thang* (2022) before his untimely death in February 2023. His work remains influential in the global resurgence of the Memphis drill genre.
